Welcome to FreeCraft

FreeCraft is a realtime fantasy strategy game for Unix and X. In the beginning, FreeCraft was a clone of the realtime fantasy strategy game WarCraft II from Blizzard Entertainment. The project held in this page has no intention to continue the development of this game, we just want to close some bugs and prepare the current code base to be used in other simple games.

The old upstream has gave up on FreeCraft after receiving a Cease and Desist letter from Blizzard in 2003. They started to work on Stratagus and then moved to Bos Wars.

I'm only maintaining this game because I like to play it and I like to see it available in Debian project

Getting the code

You can go to our Downloads section to get the latest package or access the git repos throught the following command:
